First, enter the installation program
Here we install a default instance of SQL Server on this computer, so perform the following steps:
1. Select "Install" in the left-hand directory tree.
2. In the selection on the right, select the 1th item, "New installation or add features to an existing installation," and then enter the installer.
Second, the installation of the preparation process
1. Installation program Support rules
In this preparation process, the installer will first scan some of the information on this machine to determine that no exceptions will occur during the installation process. If some problems are found in the scan, you must fix the problems before you can rerun setup to install them.
During installation, if a computer cannot be restarted, a registry key will need to be deleted .
Delete the registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager
The PendingFileRenameOperations sub-key.
File pending operation error done, can continue
Next, enter the production key, license terms, installation program support files
Express-based version
Enterprise Evaluation for Business Edition
Three, function selection and configuration
The next step is to formally install the SQL Server program.
1. Installation program Support rules
This step seems to be the same as in the preparation process, is to scan the machine, to prevent the installation process exception. It is not a repetition of the steps just now, and it is clear that the scan is more precise and more scanned.
In this step, be sure not to ignore the "Windows Firewall" warning, because if you install SQL Server in the Windows2008 operating system, the operating system does not automatically open the TCP1433 port on the firewall. This issue will be mentioned in a later article.
2. Set the role
There are 3 options to choose from. We select "SQL Server Feature Installation".
3. Function selection
Here, we click the "Select All" button, you will find the left tree more than a few items: "Installation Rules" after an "instance configuration", after "disk space requirements" More than "server Configuration", "Database Engine configuration", "Analysis Services Configuration" and " Reporting Services Configuration.
If I only use it as a normal data engine, I often just tick: "Database Engine service" and "Administrative Tools-Basic"
4. Installation rules
Here again to scan the machine, the content of the scan is different from the last time.
5. Instance Configuration
We install a default instance here. The system automatically names this instance as: MSSQLSERVER.
6. Disk Space Requirements
As you can see from here, the full functionality of installing SQL Server requires 5485MB of disk space.
7. Server Configuration
Here, you first configure the server's service account, that is, which account the operating system uses to start the appropriate service. For the sake of convenience, we chose to "use the same account for all SQL Server services."
You can also choose, NT Authority\System, to run the service with the highest privileges.
Next, the device collation, default is case-insensitive to your own requirements to adjust
8. Database Engine Configuration
There are 3 main settings for the database engine.
In account settings, general MSSQLServer are used as network servers, and for convenience, use mixed authentication to set their own user passwords. Then add a local account to manage it easily.
There is no need to modify directories and FileStream.
Right is the data directory, I understand that, I am accustomed to the software are installed in the system disk. When using SQL Server, the database files are placed on other disks, and then the data is appended so that it does not clutter up the database of its own database and system. After all, data security is the first.
The following procedure is relatively straightforward, and the next step is to wait for the installation to complete.
