After you have selected the components, the next step is to install the individual components.

The first thing that needs to be configured is the service account. Choosing the right service account is very important, and if it is a local test environment or a development environment, it is sufficient to select the regional system, but it is generally recommended for a production environment to use a domain account. I've seen quite a number of cases caused by incorrect service account configuration, such as a game company that was seen in the previous period. The inability to enable mirroring sessions when configuring database mirroring is caused by the choice of the local System account as the SQL Server service account. Because the local system has administrator privileges on this computer, this account does not have network communication permissions.

The next is to select the character set for the SQL Server service and SQL Server profiling service. The character set determines the default character set for non-Unicode characters, which is the default character set for the field when we select char and varchar instead of nchar and nvarchar. Of course, char and varchar fields can also support Non-default character sets by specifying the character set in the field definition, but this adds significantly to the complexity of the schema definition. Therefore, we usually recommend selecting the most commonly used character set in the system. At the same time, the character set also affects the order-dependent problem.
