SQL Server 2016 RC0 installation (over multiple images)

Microsoft's latest version of Database SQL Server 2016 launched RC0 in March 9, 2016. Multiple language versions are provided, including simplified Chinese, but the online books are still in English. OS requirements are WIN8, WIN10, WIN2012, and only 64-bit. Let's download the latest version for installation and testing.

Prompts a failure and a warning. An error occurred because JAVA JRE5 Update 51 or later is required to install BolyBase Service for External Data. If you do not use the BolyBase Service, you do not need to install JRE.

After downloading the latest JRE installation on the official JAVA website, click Re-run. SQL 2016 RC0 continues to be installed.

An error occurred while prompting VS Shell installation to fail. Click OK to continue the installation, but the installation of the Integration Services component failed. After the installation is complete, install the corresponding system patch, and then install this component. Therefore, we recommend that you install Windows after patching.

Open the Windows automatic upgrade program, check for updates, installation, and restart. Then open the installer again.

After the installation, you will find that SSMS is not found, because SSMS has been installed independently! It is not installed even if all components are selected on the previous selection interface. Open the installation program again and select Install SQL Server Management Tools. The installation wizard is displayed in another style.
