SQL Server Agent

SQL Server Agent is a Microsoft windows service that regularly executes management tasks, usually called jobs.

 

SQL Server Angent uses SQL Server to store job information. job contains steps of one or more jobs. Each step contains its own tasks, such as backing up a database.

 

The SQL Server Agent can regularly execute jobs, execute jobs for specific events, and execute jobs (on demand) as required ).
