Working with official tools
1. Install MySQL database ODBC driver, MySQL website has download http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/
2. Open the Control Panel/Admin tool/Data source ODBC and add a MySQL ODBC data source to the user DSN.
3. Then enter the data source name, such as MYSQLODBC, in the following form, and then enter the server address (localhost or other), user username, password password, and then select the database you want to import after the correct input. Set the port and character set character for MySQL to use in the Connect Options connect option. The character set must correspond to the MySQL server, if MySQL uses the GBK character set, you must set the character set to GBK, otherwise import to SQL Server may appear the question mark garbled.
4. Open SQL Server Enterprise Manager to create a new database MySQL. Select the database and right-click to select All Tasks/import data.
5. Select the data source as another (ODBC data source), and the user/System DSN is MYSQLODBC. The rest is based on the wizard to import data from the MySQL database into the MSSQL database.
Databases that are imported to SQL Server may have errors in some tables, such as the data in the table is not imported, the table primary key is not set, the field is formatted incorrectly, and so on, to reset or insert.
MySQL database imported into the MSSQL database
1. Install MySQL database ODBC driver, Mysql-connector-odbc-3.51.19-win32.msi
2. Open the Control Panel Admin tool data source ODBC and add a MySQL ODBC 3.51 data source to the user DSN.
3. Enter the data source name in the Login login tab, MYSQLDNS, enter the server, user username, password password, and then select the database you want to import. Set the port and character set character for MySQL to use in the Connect Options connect option.
Note: The character set must be relative to the MySQL server, if MySQL uses the GBK character set, you must set the character set to GBK, otherwise import to SQL may appear a question mark garbled.
4. Open SQL Server Enterprise Manager to create a new database MySQL. Select the database and right-click to select All Tasks to import data.
5. Select the data source as another (ODBC data source), and the user/System DSN is Mysqldns. The rest is based on the wizard to import data from the MySQL database into the MSSQL database.
