SQL Server Import data

When you use SQL Server 2008 to restore a 2000 backup database, the database backup in the backup set is reported as a different error than the existing database.

Cause: Primarily because the new data is different from the version of the database created in the backup set


Workaround:

1. When you create a new database on SQL Server 2008, select SQL Server 2000 in options-compatibility level

2. When restoring data, set: Option--> restore option--> Overwrite existing database--> OK
