Returns the number of rows affected by the previous statement.

Syntax
@ Rowcount

Return type
Integer

Note
Any statement that does not return a row sets this variable to 0, such as the if statement.

Example
In the following example, execute the update statement and use @ rowcount to check whether there are any changed rows.

Update authors set au_lname = 'Jones'
Where au_id = '2017-888-7777'
If @ rowcount = 0
Print 'Warning: No rows were updated'
