SQL Server peer replication configuration and settings

• Create the same dB on the two servers respectively. Backup and Restore can be used.
• On one of the databases, choose Copy> Local release> new release. The release wizard appears. Click Next, select the database to be released, click Next, and select transaction release for the release type, next, select the corresponding table (pay attention to the normalization of the table, such as setting the primary key), and click Next continuously until the Proxy Security dialog box appears:

• Set the security settings as follows:

• Click Finish and write the release name.
• Right-click the database attribute you just released, and select subscription option-peer replication. Select true for peer replication.

 

• Right-click the released database, select configure peer-to-peer replication topology, and click Next. Next, right-click the blank area to add a new peer node. The system automatically selects another SQL Server.

• Select the database and modify the peer initiator ID to 2

   

• Click Next to set Proxy Security properties. This is the same as the previous security proxy settings. Next, complete the next step!
• After the replication is established, you can view the replication status through the replication monitor, right-click the replication, and select the replication Monitor

• If you want to add a new table, you can synchronize the table by using the following method:
  • On the first stage, log on to the corresponding database instance and select copy and local copy. Right-click the published database point attribute and select articles, remove the check box before "show only checked articles in the list" on the right and select "Add Table ".

  • On the second stage, you must perform the same operation. Otherwise, the replication fails.
