During the recent development of the SQL Server database project, a problem was found in the background site memory consumption of 95%, through the Task Manager to view the memory of the process Sqlserver.exe, because SQL Server R2 run longer, the memory will become larger.
Because SQL Server 2008 itself does not have a good memory-recycling mechanism, it can only be set so forcefully. Now understand, originally is Microsoft R2 series of Server & database problem common problems.
Method:
Go to SQL Server Enterprise Manager, click on "Right" on the database server name, select "Properties", and then, find the "memory" option on the right, "use AWE to allocate memory" (SqlServer64 should not tick) to the left of the check mark. Fill in the appropriate size on the maximum server memory (MB) (How big it is, it must not exceed the physical memory of the computer, and of course, you can check it out in Task Manager, Sqlserver.exe occupy how big, the system will become slow as a reference), remember is in M (trillion) units, click OK, restart SQL Server! Ok!
