SQL Server R2 How to generate a database script with data

Source: Internet
Author: User

1. Right-click on the database you want to copy, "Tasks", "Generate Scripts"

2. It is important to note that, by default, only schema-only scripts are generated, that is, there is only a table structure, and there is no empty shell for the data. So additional settings are required.

In the Set scripting options, select "Advanced"

Then in "Data type to Script", select "Schema and Data"

3. Run the generated script.

Note Modify the location of the database file because the path in the script may not exist on the target computer.
