SQL Server2012 How to open a remote connection to a database
Recent remote connections to SQL Server 2012 are organized as follows:
SQL Server does not allow remote connections by default, and if you want to use SSMS to connect to the SQLSERVER2012 database on a remote server locally, you need to confirm the following:
1) If it is a workgroup environment, you will need to use SQL Server authentication method
2) If you are a Windows domain environment, you can use Windows authentication or SQL Server Authentication
Now take the SQL Server authentication method in the workgroup environment as an example:
1) Enable SQL Server authentication mode for login (restart instance required)
2) Establish an available SQL Server server login name
3) Allow remote connection to server instance
4) Set the "Remoteaccessenabled" property to True in the "facets" of the server
5) Ensure that the server instance and the SQL server Browser service are turned on
6) Ensure that the TCP/IP protocol for the server instance is enabled and that the port number is 1433 (or other)
7) Make sure that Windows Firewall allows SQL Server to use a port number (1433) to access, or to turn off the firewall (specific configuration)
Finally, use SSMs to connect to the remote SQL Server instance:
