Environment Description:
One remote server, Windows Server 2003 + SQL Server 2005 (later changed to SQL Server 2008)
Fault description:
After SQL server2005 is installed in a local notebook and you connect to this remote server through SQL Server Management Studio, the error "the specified network name is no longer available" is reported! The same is true for modifying the network protocol used for logon. Can ping the server, telnet port 1433 is OK. Log on to the server using remote desktop, and perform various operations on the server.
Solution Process:
The first step must be a Google-related approach, but there are different opinions, and this problem will not be solved in the end.
After I unmount SQL Server 2005 from the data center today and Install SQL Server 2008, the result is the same. There is no problem with local access. An error is reported when I use a notebook for remote connection. After comparison with other servers, it is found that the interface stops on the black screen and does not exit after other servers telnet port 1433. However, when telnet to the faulty server, although the connection is successful, it will soon exit.Program(Return to the drive letter status ). It is suspected that the Service Program has a problem with port 1433. After changing the default port to another port (such as 6666), the problem will be solved!
