SQL statement execution encountered problems

Problem: Invalid length parameter passed to left or SUBSTRING function

Cause: The length calculated in left or substring is caused by a negative number

Workaround:

1) Individual troubleshooting,
2) First execute the statement, see where the Interruption,
3) Then step through the broken statement, the left or the SUBSTRING function is presented separately to display,
So we can find the problem, and then do the corresponding solution.
