This type of problem usually occurs in the illegal unloading of sql2005
Enter regedit in start and run to open Registry Editor.
Navigate to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Perflib
, you can see 004 and 92 subdirectories under the Perflib directory in the tree-shaped directory on the right.
In the installation help file for SQL Server 2005, the registry key that requires viewing the 009 directory, and most of us use the Simplified Chinese operating system, cannot be described in the help, but should pay attention to the contents of the 004 directory.
Open the contents of the 004 directory, you can see such as:
We double-click the "Counter" and "help" items to see the last number, such as:
Contents of the Counter item:
Helper Item Content
At this time, we know that the number of the Counter item is the content of the 5556,helper item is 5557.
Then, manipulate Registry Editor to the left of the directory tree, navigate to the Perflib directory, and note the value of the "Laster Counter" entry and the "Laster Help" entry in the right window, and put Laster Change the value of counter to the counter value 5556 just recorded, and change the value of Laster help to the value of help I just wrote down 5557.
Note that when you modify a number, the input must be selected when the cardinality is "decimal", otherwise the number will not match, the SQL Server 2005 check will fail again.
Then close Registry Editor and start installing SQL Server 2005, and you can definitely install it successfully.
