11.3.7 start and stop Postfix services

The Postfix service is installed, so let's look at how to complete the start, stop, and restart operation.

(1) Start postfix service

[Root@localhost ~]#/etc/rc.d/init.d/postfix start

(2) Stop postfix service

[Root@localhost ~]#/etc/rc.d/init.d/postfix stop

(3) Restart the Postfix service

[Root@localhost ~]#/etc/rc.d/init.d/postfix Restart

(4) automatic start postfix service

If you want the Postfix service to load automatically as the system boots, you can perform the NTSYSV command to start the service configuration program, locate the Postfix service, precede it with an asterisk (*), and select OK, as shown in Figure 11-25.
