Start Apache service under Windows with normal user rights

Source: Internet
Author: User
Apache is installed under Windows, and by default Apache starts the service with local System privileges, which is too high and has security implications. To start the Apache service with normal user rights, proceed as follows:

  1. Add a regular user Apache_user
  2. Open Service Manager, under the Login tab of the Apache Service's Properties page, select this user, and then enter Apache_user and its password
  3. Modify the permissions of the logs directory under the Apache installation directory so that Apache_user has full control rights
  4. Restart the Apache service (restart the operating system if it fails)
