Start the telnet service in RedHat Linux

1. Use setup to select Telnet and xinetd services in System Service, exit setup, and restart the xinetd service. Service xinetd restart

2. Edit the/etc/xinetd. d/telnet file to ensure that disable = No

3. By default, the root user cannot be used for telnet. A Password error is prompted during login verification. You can modify the following files:
/Etc/PAM. d/login, comment out auth required pam_securetty.so.

4. If telnet is slow, modify the/etc/resolve. conf file, comment out the nameserver, and restart the xinetd service.
