Starting from network settings to speed up operating system startup

It has always been a common topic to find ways to optimize the system and improve the system startup speed. In fact, after many friends have used up various system optimization methods, the startup screen of the Windows system sometimes still needs to be transferred dozens of times before logging on to the system, most of them are the methods used by friends to optimize the system. This is not the case. If the network is improperly configured, the system speed cannot be improved regardless of other optimization methods!
1. Cancel network ing in time
To facilitate shared folders in LAN networks, many people often use network ing to map a network shared folder that is frequently accessed to a disk drive at a cost. For example, there are many good mp3 music files stored in the computershare folder. Every time we access the music files in the shared folder, we need to go to the network neighbor window of the local system, double-click the mouse to open the Child Window. To improve access efficiency, we only need to open the system running dialog box and then execute the string commands such as "net use x: computershare password/user: xxx, you can map the target shared folder to a local X disk. Then, you only need to open the X disk to quickly access the shared mp3 music file as you access the local disk file.
However, once too many network ing connections are created in the local computer system, the validity of the local network drive will be checked one by one during the startup process, so that the system start time will naturally be extended, thus affecting the normal startup speed of the system.
To increase the system startup speed as much as possible, we may wish to delete the network ing connections temporarily unavailable in the local system. The following describes how to delete the specified network ing connection:
First, click the start button on the Windows system desktop to open the Start menu of the local system, and click the run command to open the system run dialog box, then execute the string command "cmd" and click "OK" to switch the system interface to the MS-DOS command line status;
Then, on the doscommand line, enter the string command "net use x:/del" and click the Enter key. Then, the network drive x disk is automatically deleted; if we want to disconnect all the local network ing connections, we only need to execute "net use */del" in the doscommand line. After all the network ing connections are disconnected, restart the Windows system again. We believe that the system startup speed will be much faster.
2. Disable auto-shared search
When Windows XP is started, it often scans and searches for some shared resources in the LAN network, which also delays the startup time of the system. In order to shorten the system startup time and speed up the system startup, we may wish to disable the computer's auto-shared resource search function. The following describes how to disable the auto-shared search function: first, double-click the "my computer" icon on the Windows system desktop. In the displayed window, click "Tools" in the menu bar, run the "Folder Options" command from the drop-down list to open the folder options setting window of the local system, click the "View" tab in the window to go to the option settings page, on the option settings page, check whether the "automatically search for network folders and printers" Project is currently selected. If it is found to have been selected, you must promptly remove the selected status and click the "OK" button, so that the Windows XP system will not automatically search for shared resources in the LAN network at the next startup.
3. Set Nic parameters correctly
Many users who use broadband dial-up Internet access often encounter this kind of problem, that is, after the system starts up and runs, the Windows interface can be opened very quickly, however, after all the content on the Windows system desktop is displayed, it takes a long time for us to operate the keyboard and mouse properly. In fact, the system is in a suspended state. In fact, few people know that this false state is actually caused by the first hand of the network card. In the original system, during each operation, the network card will automatically apply for an IP address from the DHCP server by default, however, because we use the broadband dialing method, this method generally does not automatically assign an IP address to the NIC, so that the NIC will take a long time to repeatedly apply for an address, until the final application fails.
To prevent the system from consuming too long to apply for an IP address during startup, we can use the following two methods to quickly assign an appropriate IP address to the network card:
The first method is to use a shared route to access the Internet. When using this method, we can first open the Internet Explorer and enter the default IP address of the router in the address bar of the browser window, open the background logon interface of the device, enter the original Logon account and password, enter the background management interface, and enable the DHCP function of the router correctly on the interface, at the same time, you must set the IP address pool parameters that can be effectively allocated, and restart the router device with the configured parameters, in this way, when the Windows system starts later, the NIC can quickly obtain a useful IP address from the DHCP server built in the vro, so the system will not be suspended during startup, in this case, the startup speed will naturally be much faster than before.
The second method is to use the virtual dialing method to access the Internet. When using this method, you can right-click the "Network Neighbor" icon on the system desktop, from the shortcut menu that appears, run the "properties" command to open the network connection list interface of the Local Computer System, select the "local connection" icon in the interface, and then right-click the icon, then, run the "properties" command in the shortcut menu to open the local connection Property setting window;
Click the "General" tab in the window, and double-click the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" project on the corresponding tab page to enter the Settings dialog box, select the "use the following IP Address" item in the dialog box, and assign an IP address of the same CIDR block as the broadband "cat" ip address. For example, generally, if the bandwidth "cat" IP address is "192.168.0.1", the nic ip address can be set to "192.168.0.10", and the subnet mask address can be set to "255.255.255.0 ", the gateway address can be set to "192.168.0.1". Next, select "Use the following DNS server address" at the DNS server address ", then, enter the DNS address provided by the local ISP in the corresponding text box. For example, the author entered "202.102.11.141" here and click "OK" to save the above parameter settings, finally, restart the Windows system. I believe the system will be able to be started soon.
TIPS:
Improper Nic parameter settings will not only affect the startup speed of the computer system, but also affect the shared access speed. For example, if two workstation NICs that communicate with each other do not match the working mode, the data transmission speed will be seriously affected, when the 10/100 MB adaptive nic and the 10/100 MB Nic communicate with each other, once the MB adaptive Nic work mode is set to 10 MB full dual-work hours, the NIC transmits data with the MB Nic each time, it takes a certain amount of time to determine the speed of data transmission. In this case, the speed at which two workstations transmit data to each other will be greatly affected.
To prevent the NIC mode from affecting the shared access speed, we must set the NIC working mode according to the actual situation. Generally, when the network card models for mutual communication are identical, we only need to set their working modes to the same. When a network card is 10/100 MB adaptive, if the other network card is 10/100 MB, we can adjust the MB adaptive network card mode to the MB full duplex mode when they communicate with each other, set the 10/100 MB Nic to the default working mode. When one Nic is MB adaptive and the other Nic is 10 MB, they will communicate with each other, we can adjust the 10 M/M Adaptive Nic mode to the 10 MB full duplex mode, and set the 10 MB Nic to the default working mode. When you adjust the NIC mode parameters, follow these steps:
Click Start, set, and network connection commands one by one. In the displayed network connection list, right-click the local connection icon, right-click the "properties" menu command to go to the local connection Property setting window;
Click the "General" tab in the settings window, and select the target Nic device installed on the Local Computer in the "connect to use" area on the corresponding tab, at the same time, click the "Configure" button on the right to open the NIC device Property setting window;
On the "advanced" tab page of the settings window, select the "Link Speed/Duplex Mode" option in the "properties" list, and in the "value" drop-down list of this option, select an appropriate working mode for the network card and click "OK.
4. Delete invalid communication protocols
In Windows 9x computer systems, the system automatically binds communication protocols such as IPX/SPX compatible protocol and NetBeuI protocol to network card devices, these communication protocols have little effect in the existing network environment. On the contrary, when the system checks network settings during startup, it usually takes more time to check these useless communication protocols, in this case, the system startup speed will naturally be affected. To speed up system startup, we should promptly Delete All invalid communication protocols bound to the NIC device from the system.
