Starting from personal brands

Before talking about a personal brand, I want to talk about what is a brand first? The brand is also a "sign" or "Word of mouth" in the spoken language. The first glance is just a simple word. For example, if you want to buy a car, you may immediately say "I am going to buy a BMW". If you are a fan, you may immediately say "I like AC Milan". Is a brand really an abstract term?

Although understanding the true definition of a brand can bring us multiple ideas, it does not seem to be accurate. In fact, understanding the concept of a brand is not very useful for understanding a personal brand. What is really useful is to understand the external embodiment of an interesting personal brand and then take appropriate management actions.

Before we discuss it, I want to emphasize one of the characteristics of my brand: Timeliness. The personal brand image is different in different periods. The personal brand is the image of the students in the job period. If it is at work, it is the image of a professional. Individual brands have different images in different periods.

What does a personal brand include during the job search period? You may instantly think of your resume, cover letter, emails you sent, phone calls and on-site interviews, your words, clothes, and actions. These are external details of personal brands. Although we cannot describe them one by one in this short article, I would like to summarize several theme that are easy to ignore.

The first is the topic that international students often ignore: Speech and grammar. This requires continuous practice.

The second is to exercise 30 seconds of job-seeking elevator speech, which is a great test.

The third is the information interview strategy and corresponding framework.

The fourth is simulated interviews.

Finally, I want to say that Mao Zedong has a saying to the general idea that he should go to the masses. What are the inspirations for us? Probably, I have to work with my own practices, review and review, and then elaborate on it accordingly, so I will not talk about it on paper?
