Last week, Tizen released a version code 1.0, Larkspur ). At the Tizen conference, Samsung gave developers some prototypes. A developer named VaibhavSharma disclosed some information about the Tizen prototype on handheldblog.
According to the developer's description, the Tizen prototype is well configured: 4.65 inch screens, 1280 x 720SuperAMOLEDHD, 8 million GHz dual-core A9 chip, 1 gb ram, pixel camera.
This is a guiding design, but we can see some elements and functions of the Tizen interface, which are summarized as follows:
- A good HTML5 browser, developers do not believe that any browser on the market
- The interface is greatly affected by TouchWiz, which is the same as TouchWiz in WiFi and Bluetooth.
- Like Android, there is a drop-down notification bar
- Supports network sharing Tethering)
- Supports Google, Facebook, and Twitter accounts, and easily synchronizes address book
- May support Facebook push
- Supports uploading content to Picasa and Youtube services
Therefore, this is similar to an Android system that uses the TouchWiz interface. The problem is why Samsung needs to develop it.
JohnGruber, the author of the cutting-edge technology blog, is also confused about the Tizen prototype. "I don't understand. What is the significance of this system? Did I miss something? "
Later, some people replied to Gruber and expressed their views. Another user, @ mpt, thinks that Samsung may split Android like Amazon because Samsung is likely to fall into the same dilemma as PC manufacturers when Google controls the operating system, lack of unique value and low profits.
Apparently, the benefit of Tizen is that Samsung has more control over the system. This experiment project is meaningful to Samsung. In addition, Tizen's TouchWiz interface is not surprising, and reflects Samsung's ambitions from one side.
Although Google tried to unify the interface from Android4.0, the vendor did not buy it, especially Samsung. The new version of HTC's Sense interface is far inferior to that of Samsung's Native Interface. In GSIII design, Samsung maintains the continuity of the system interface and operation from the Home hardware key persistence to the TouchWiz interface, and does not intend to provide a unified experience for Android users, it maintains the consistency of user experience on Samsung devices.
So, Will Samsung, with Google's Android system winning in the smartphone market, eventually become Google's enemy?
