When IIS is frequently used, its speed slows down. to greatly improve the running efficiency of the IIS server, we must start from the basics, be sure to use a high-grade computer as the server host, and expand the server memory capacity, increase the number of CPUs, I believe this will achieve remarkable results! Break through restrictions to enable IIS to upload large files
By default, the IIS server in Windows 2003 only allows us to upload files with a capacity not greater than kb. When a file that exceeds the capacity limit is uploaded to the IIS server through a WEB page, the system prompts "Request object error.
In this case, is there no way to upload a large file with a capacity of more than kb to the IIS server through a WEB page? In fact, we can follow the steps below to easily break through the IIS server's limit on the size of uploaded files:
In the IIS server system, click Start and run commands on the system desktop one by one to open the system running dialog box and execute Services. msc "string command to enter the Server System Service List window;
In the Service list window, find the target system Service "World Wide Web Hing Service" and double-click the Service option to go To the attribute interface of the target Service, click the "stop" button on the page to temporarily stop running the "World Wide Web Hing Service" Service;
Next, click the start, program, attachment, and Windows Resource Manager commands to open the Resource Manager interface of the server system, and select the folder "X: \ Windows \ system32 \ inesrv ", and open" metabase. xml file;
In the pop-up text editing window, find the "AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed" keyword. By default, the value corresponding to this keyword is "204800 ", this value is actually the size limit of the files to be uploaded by the IIS server, that is, by default, only the attachment files with the upload capacity not greater than Kb are allowed.
After figuring out the meaning of this value, we can adjust its size as needed. For example, if we want to adjust the maximum size of uploaded files to 10 MB, you only need to change "204800" to "10485760", and then save the file again as the original name;
After the above modification settings are complete, we open the system Service list page again, restart the system Service "World Wide Web Publishing Service", and then open the IIS server console interface, restart the target Web site so that the preceding settings take effect.
