State Vs. Status

State is to describe the condition of someone or something in a particle situation.
Status is often referred to as on what rung of the social ladder you are, or the rank of someone's position in a community or company, or is also used to describe how a process goes and how far has the process gone. for example, I may regularly check in with a school about in what stage my application for admission is at, and I'm talking about the status of this application.

State: the mental, emotional or physical condition that a person or thing is in: (Oxford)

* A confused state of mind
* He was in a state of permanent depression.
* Anxieties about the state of the country's economy
* The building is in a bad state of repair (= needs to be retried red ).
* After the accident I was in a state of shock.
* The kitchen was in its original state, with a 1920 s sink and stove.
* You're not in a fit state to drive.

Status: the situation at a participating time during a process: (Oxford)

* What is the current status of our application for funds?
* Certain people always want to maintain the status quo.
* What's the status of the peace talks?
