Steps for installing ArcGIS 9.0 desktop and solutions to installation errors

Solution to ArcGIS 9.0 desktop Installation Error

When installing ArcGIS 9.0 desktop on WINXP + SP2, an error is reported, indicating that n dll files cannot be found and cannot be registered. At first, I thought there was a problem with my installation file, but I couldn't change a few. I couldn't do it. I consulted ESRI's technical support, A solution is provided (only one solution is found for this consultation ). Specifically:

1. My computer-> properties-> advanced-> startup and fault recovery-> edit the "optin" to "alwaysoff"
2. re-register the ATL. dll file under system32
3. restart the system
4. Install ArcGIS 9.0
After performing the preceding operations, install arcgis9.0. Everything is normal !!!

Below are some solutions provided by other friends for your reference:

Install License Manager (liciense/lmsetup.exe) in CD1 first ):
1. Select "I Have ed the license by fax", create and edit
