Steps to install VMware tools in Ubuntu-14.04.2-desktop

1. Install Ubuntu image under VMware Workstation11.1.0: Ubuntukylin-14.04.2-desktop-amd64.iso

2. Click the Virtual Machine menu bar-install VMware Tools.

3. On the Ubuntu System CD, find vmwaretools-9.9.2-2496486.tar.gz, right-copy to "desktop", then right-click "Extract Here", the desktop will generate a folder: Vmware-tools-distrib.

4. Open the command terminal, enter sudo su, enter the password, then CD into the desktop/vmware-tools-distrib folder, and then enter Sudo./vmware-install.pl start the installation, press ENTER, yes, as prompted. After the installation is complete, enter reboot to restart the system.
