Steps to install the PowerPath method under Windows

You need to download the PowerPath installation package before installing PowerPath, and you can download it from the Support.emc.com Web site via the following path: Home > Download > Find Product "PowerPath". It is recommended that you read PowerPath's release notes before downloading to confirm the hosts and storage systems that this version supports.

Windows system:

1, log on to the Windows host.

2, into the PowerPath installation package directory, double-click the installation files such as:

emcpower.net32.signed.5.5

3, according to the instructions of the Installation Wizard, choose to accept installation to the default directory.

4, according to the actual answer is only configured AX-series storage:

Do your have only AX series CLARiiON arrays connected to this host?

5, enter the authorization license, complete the installation and restart the host.

6. Re-log in to the host, into the PowerPath installation package directory, extract the PowerPath Management component package.

7, double-click the installation and accept the default settings.

8, and then unzip the EMC PowerPath Viewer and install it.

9, after the installation is completed, open PowerPath Viewer, and click Discover Hosts.

10, select Port 9083, enter the IP address of the Windows host, and complete the lookup.

Note: Multiple hosts with PowerPath installed can also be added to the management.

11, verify that the host has PowerPath authorization and have an active path to storage. All installations complete.
