When a SharePoint site is in use, the content will pass through, which will occupy the content database, increase the management complexity, and even reduce the system response time. You can set site quota to set a warning, so that the Administrator will know that the content of some sites is too large.

 

The next step is to find out where the site occupies space. Obviously, it is unrealistic to manually browse document libraries and folders. The Storage Metrics function provided by SharePoint is very helpful to administrators.

 

Go to Site Settings and find Storage Metrics in Site Collection Settings:

 

After entering, SharePoint displays the Storage Distribution and Last Modified of the entire site:

 

It takes a long time before the Last Modified takes a large amount of space and needs to be prioritized. For example, whether there are large video files.
