Strange questions about thinkphp deleting database records

I use

M (' data ')->where (' user=xiaoming ')->delete ();

Delete a record of user xiaoming in the data table in the database, but I found that the statement was not executed and could not be deleted. However, if I change the username user to a number, this record can be deleted, this is what is going on, it is very strange.

If you enter the DELETE statement directly inside MySQL, you can delete it regardless of whether the user is a number or a letter.

Enclose xiaoming in single quotation marks, user= ' xiaoming '
