7.1 Significance of Supply Chain

No enterprise can exist in isolation. It must rely on upstream suppliers and downstream dealers or customers to form a partnership. Otherwise, it cannot survive. Linking these upstream and downstream partners together is what people call this a supply chain.

In the Supply Chain, each stage has a dual definition of "supply" and "demand.
