After a long time, finally windows SSH successfully connected to Linux in VMware.

Take notes. Have time to study the network configuration in VMware.


Windows for Win7, Linux for centos6.3

1. Modify the CentOS network connection mode in VMware to Host-only.

2. Under Windows, open the network share in a local (or wireless) connection, and choose VMware Network Adapter VMnet1

Windows7 connection in Control Panel-> Network and internet-> Network and Share center-> change adapter settings



3. Use Ipconfig to view the IP addresses of the VMware network Adapter VMnet1

4. Set its IP address and vmnet1 IP address in CentOS in a network segment.

Setup file is/etc/sysconfig/network-scripting/ifcfg-eth0

Bootproto=static

ipaddr=xx.xx.xx.xx


5. Restart Network

Service Network restart


Then try the connection again and it should be OK.
