Summary of domain name status and its meaning

The domain name status includes the RRP domain name status and the EPP domain name status.

The RRP Domain name Status refers to the Status [Registry Registrar Protocol (RRP) Domain Status Codes] specified by "Registry-Registrar agreement Domain name Status code":

RRP is defined by Verisign and used for. com/. net domain name status (for example, wansai.com or wansai.net). This method is also used for some national domain names. There are eight statuses of RRP domain names:

ACTIVE: normal/ACTIVE

REGISTRY-LOCK: The REGISTRY is locked (at least one of the domain name transfer, update, renewal, and deletion cannot be operated, and the domain name can be used for resolution)

REGISTRAR-LOCK: The REGISTRAR is locked (at least one of the domain name transfer, update, renewal, and deletion cannot be operated, and the domain name can be resolved and used)

REGISTRY-HOLD: retained by the REGISTRY (the domain name in question or the domain name in question cannot be operated)

The EPP Domain name Status refers to the Status [Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP) Domain Status Codes] specified by the "Extensible Protocol Domain name Status code":

ORG/. BIZ/. INFO (for example, wansai.org/wansai.biz/wansai.info) and. Name Registry use the EPP domain Name status definition. Compared with the RRP status, the EPP status is easier to understand and more detailed. For example, the client delete prohibited indicates that the CLIENT cannot DELETE the domain name. The SERVER and CLIENT in the EPP status refer to the Registry and Registrar in the RRP protocol.

However, most registrars use the EPP domain name status, so the following describes the meaning of the EPP domain name status:

1. Status: OK

Default normal status:

This status is set by the Registrar. The domain name can be updated (the Domain Name Information is modified), renewed, deleted, or transferred. if at least one Domain Name Server is assigned, it can be used normally.

2. Status: INACTIVE

Inactive status:

It is in normal state, and some minor problems are not properly configured, such as not assigning at least one Domain Name Server. Domain names can be updated (Domain Name Information Modification), renewed, deleted, transferred.

3. Status: CLIENT TRANSFER PROHIBITED

Client transfer prohibited:

This status is set by the Registrar. The domain name can be updated (the Domain Name Information is modified), renewed, or deleted. if at least one Domain Name Server is assigned, it can be used normally.

4. Status: CLIENTDELETEPROHIBITED

The client cannot be deleted:

This status is set by the Registrar. The domain name can be updated (the Domain Name Information is modified), renewed, or transferred. if at least one Domain Name Server is assigned, it can be used normally.

5. Status: CLIENTUPDATEPROHIBITED

Update prohibited on the client:

This status is set by the Registrar. The domain name can be transferred, renewed, or deleted. if at least one Domain Name Server is assigned, it can be used normally.

6. Status: CLIENT RENEW PROHIBITED

Disable allow on the client:

This status is set by the Registrar. The domain name can be updated (the Domain Name Information is modified), transferred, or deleted. if at least one Domain Name Server is assigned, it can be used normally.

7. Status: PENDING TRANSFER

Forthcoming transfer:

This status is set by the Registry. The transfer request has been accepted. The domain name cannot be updated (the domain name information cannot be modified), renewed, or deleted. if at least one Domain Name Server is assigned, it can be used normally.

This status is set by the Registry. The update (Domain Name Information Modification) request has been accepted. The current status is updated very quickly and will not appear. if at least one Domain Name Server is assigned, it can be used normally.

9. Status: PENDING RENEW

This status is set by the Registry. The renewal request has been accepted and the current renewal is very fast. This status basically does not appear. if at least one Domain Name Server is assigned, it can be used normally.

10. Status: PENDING DELETE

To be deleted:

This status is set by the Registry. The deletion request initiated by the Registrar has been accepted. cn is generally maintained for 15 days. If the Registrar's renewal request is not received, the domain name will be deleted in 16th days ;. com and. net is generally maintained for 5 days, all requests from the Registrar will be rejected, 6th days to delete.

11. Status: SERVER HOLD

Registry retention

This status is set by the Registry. All operations on the domain name will be rejected, and at least one domain name server will be assigned for normal use.

12. Status: CLIENT HOLD

Registrar retention

This status is set by the Registrar. The domain name can be renewed but cannot be used normally.

13. Status: SERVER DELETE PROHIBITED

The Registry prohibits deletion.

This status is set by the Registry. The domain name can be updated (the Domain Name Information is modified), transferred, and renewed, and at least one Domain Name Server is assigned for normal use.

14. Status: SERVER UPDATE PROHIBITED

22. Status: REDEMPTION PERIOD

Salvation period:

This status is set by the Registry. The domain name cannot be changed or deleted, but can only be restored. Any change or other request from another Registrar to this domain name will be rejected; this status can be maintained for up to 30 days, and the domain name cannot be used normally.

23. Status: PENDING RESTORE

After the original registrar initiates a RESTORE request to the Registry for a domain name in the salvation period, it sets this status. The domain name cannot be updated (the Domain Name Information is modified), cannot be renewed, and cannot be deleted, this status can be retained for 7 days. If the original registrar does not submit a recovery request file within a specific period of time, the domain name will be returned to the salvation status.
