Now Windows 7 RTM flagship Chinese version has been launched, for the recorder friends may be the first to consider how to install Windows 7 from the hard disk, so I wrote a special article about how to install Windows 7 from a hard disk. Of course, this method is also applicable to Vista, and I hope it will be helpful to you.

1. Download Windows 7 and Windows 7 Ultimate (x86/x64) MSDN Simplified Chinese flagship edition. If you have downloaded it, please refer to the following.

To facilitate maintenance management, you can install a drive that does not conflict with the existing system to install windows 7 on the D Drive. In addition, we recommend that you first install the old operating system and then install Windows 7. For details, refer to the article:

3. If your computer has a Windows operating system, such as Vista and Windows XP, we plan to install Windows 7 again.

 

1. How to install Windows 7 on a hard drive of windows XP in the original operating system:

Method 1: Use the disk installation function of the XP system:

A. Use ultraISO to extract the Windows 7 ISO image to A non-system disk, such as (D:/Win7). Method: UltraISO's "operation" -- "extraction... ", then select Windows 7 for drive D and wait until the extraction ends. Then restart the computer;

B. Set the XP installation disk to start and press F8 to enter the command line to repair the system (note that the ordinary DOS boot disk cannot be used here), and then execute D at the DOS prompt: \ Win7 \ sources \ setup.exe to start installing Windows 7. Select disk C as the target disk during installation. You can use the Formatting Function in the advanced options;

C. Select the language to set the keyboard, format the C drive, and start to install Windows 7. For details about the installation process, refer to the related articles at the end of the article;

Method 2: Use the startup files and repair functions of windows 7:

A. Use ultraISO to extract the Windows 7 ISO image to drive D (for example, D: Win7 );

B. Copy the bootmgr and boot directories under the D: Win7 directory to the C root directory, prepare the files for Windows 7 startup, and create a sources folder under the C root directory;

C. Copy boot. win under D: Win7sources to the sources folder created on drive C;

D. Enter C: \ boot \ bootsect.exe/nt60 C: In the start of Windows XP, and press enter, excluding the comma after C, if successful is prompted, the boot guide is successfully fixed (the boot right is transferred to the Windows 7 Startup File );

E. Close the command window and restart the computer. The windows 7 installation interface is automatically displayed. Select the installation language and set the time and keyboard;

F. The "Start installation interface" appears. Tian Yuan reminds me not to click "Install now", but to click "repair computer" in the lower left corner to go to "System Recovery selection ", select the last "command prompt" to enter the DOS window. We made a big circle to save a boot disk and finally entered DOS;

G. Enter "D: \ Win7 \ sources \ setup.exe". Do not use quotation marks to start Windows 7 installation;

H. Select the language and keyboard settings, format the C drive, and start installing Windows 7;

 

2. How to install Windows 7 on a hard drive of windows Vista in the original Operating System

Method 1: Use the disk installation function of Vista:

B. Enable the optical drive in the BIOS to go To the vista installation page;

C. Select repair computer in the lower left corner and search for the system automatically. The system prompts you to load or disable the driver. Select close and enter the repair option;

D. Select the last command for restoration. In the command box, enter D: \ Win7 \ sources \ setup.exe and press Enter;

E. Select the installation language to set the keyboard, format the C drive, and start installing Windows 7;

Method 2: Use the startup files and repair functions of Windows 7:

A. Use ultraISO to extract the Windows 7 ISO image to drive D (for example, D: Win7 );

B. Copy the bootmgr, boot, EFI, and source files under the D: Win7 directory to the C root directory to prepare the files for Windows 7 startup;

3. How to install Windows 7 on a hard drive with the original operating system:

A. Use ultraISO to extract the Windows 7 ISO image to drive D (for example, D: Win7 );

B. Press F8, select "Repair System", select the keyboard, enter the administrator password, and select Command Prompt );

C. Enter "D: \ Win7 \ sources \ setup.exe" and start installing Windows 7 without quotation marks;

D. Go to the installation page, select language and keyboard settings, and format the C drive to start installing Windows 7;

 

4. Use the WINPE boot disk for Installation

This method is the simplest, as long as you ensure that the Windows 7 ISO file is first extracted to the D disk (non-system disk ):

A. Use ultraISO to extract the Windows 7 ISO image to drive D (for example, D: Win7 );

B. Copy the bootmgr, boot, and source files under the D: Win7 directory to the C root directory to prepare the files for Windows 7 startup;

D. Enter C: \ boot \ bootsect.exe/nt60 C: At the cmd command line prompt, excluding the comma after C, if successful is prompted, the boot guide is successfully fixed (the boot right is transferred to the Windows 7 Startup File );

E. Close the command window, unplug the PE boot disk, and restart the computer. The windows 7 installation page is automatically displayed. Select the installation language, set the time and keyboard;

Note:

A. Select the new installation mode of Custom for installation. The UPDATE mode is not recommended;

B. Do not enter the registration code for Windows 7 if you do not remember it, and cancel the online activation option in the settings window;

C. When selecting a drive, be careful not to select the wrong drive, which may cause data loss. If you select a system disk, we recommend that you click the advanced options below to format the partition, do not delete the installation partition before creating it. Otherwise, a hidden partition is created for Windows 7 flagship edition by default;
