I am not familiar with LINUX, so I spent a lot of effort to install ImageMagick.

First download ImageMagick source code, is: http://www.imagemagick.org/script/download.php

I am the latest version exported from SVN, and the version I installed is 6.3.6.

ImageMagick supports many formats of files, such as commonly used gif, jpeg, png, And tiff. Install the Supported file formats before installing ImageMagick.

Start installation:

./Configure -- prefix =/usr/local/ImageMagick

After configure is executed, check which formats are supported. If the formats you want to support are not detected, it may be that you have not installed it, or its files have not been detected.

I cannot detect jpeg, png, and freetype during installation, but I have already installed these programs in the system, but ImageMagick does not detect them, and I have not found the reason for searching online for a long time, however, some people say that the config. log to find the cause, and then open config. the reason for searching the log file is that the library files and header files of jpeg, png, and freetype are not included. Later, I checked them, you can use LDFLAGS and CCPFLAGS to include library files and header files. For example, if my jpeg source file is in/usr/local/jpeg-6b, freetype is installed in/usr/local/freetype, so Add the following parameters when you execute configure

. /Configure CPPFLAGS = "-I/usr/local/jpeg-6b/include-I/usr/local/freetype/include/freetype2" LDFLAGS = "-L/usr/local/lib-L/usr/local/freetype/lib" -- prefix =/usr/local/ImageMagick

If there is no accident, ImageMagick will detect jpeg and freetype.
