What should I do if my computer on Windows 7 crashes?

First, it is best not to install various so-called Win7 simplified and optimized versions. As long as the hardware is basic, dual-core processor and 1 GB memory or above, the installation of the original system will not result in junk game system, and there is no need to streamline and optimize the system.

Second, optimization and streamlining operations should be appropriate. We recommend that you use optimization tools to set some system auxiliary functions, such as right-click menu cleaning and enhanced sending functions. The system core settings should not be changed easily; in the end, overclock may also lead to false crashes in Windows 7.OverclockingWhen this problem occurs, try to reduce the external frequency and memory frequency, or temporarily do not overclock to see if the problem can be solved.

When false positives are not serious

Right-click the blank area in the taskbar and select "start Task Manager". After opening the Windows Task Manager, on the corresponding "application" and "process" pages, click to end the corresponding application or process. At the same time, press "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Del" on the keyboard, select the application with no response from the application manager that appears, and click "End Task. Then run the application you want again.

Generally, it is faster to directly select a process to close the program.

If the false death is serious, even right-click the blank area of the taskbar does not respond, and the task manager is not displayed for half a day, our operating system has basically crashed, we cannot perform task operations. What we can do is either wait for the system to restore the response, or force the shutdown directly. We certainly do not want to select the latter, but waiting for the former will sometimes lead us to lose patience, because we do not know how long it will take, seriously affecting our work efficiency.

In fact, when we encounter these problems, we can solve them by modifying some registry values of the Win7 system.

First, you can find the "HKEY_CURRENT_USERControlPanelDesktop" option in the registry editor, find the "Wait To Kill App Time out" string on the right, and click open, then, in the pop-up "edit string" dialog box, set the value. The unit of the value is millisecond, which indicates that when a program does not respond, we can allow the maximum wait time for the response to be restored.

When the response time is reached and the program is still not recovered, we can set the system to automatically shut down the process. The setting method is also found in the above registry options, find the "Auto End Tasks" string, click to open, in the pop-up dialog box, change the value from 0 to 1.

There is also a way to solve unexpected false positives through appropriate software design. The computer is suddenly suspended. There are many possibilities. First, we can update the hardware driver, mainly the driver of the video card, motherboard, and Nic, it is best to install the Microsoft-certified WHQL driver. In addition, this problem may be caused by the setting of the power management plan. The default power management plan of the system has three options: energy saving, balance, and high performance, the hard disks are set to close after a certain period of time. Set the time to 0. Procedure: go to "control panel"> "hardware and sound"> "power options"> "edit plan settings"> "change advanced power settings ", expand "power options" and set "power off after this time" to 0.

Adjust system compatibility

Sometimes, when running certain applications, the Windows 7 system may also be suspended, which is mostly caused by incompatibility between applications and Windows 7 systems. At this point, we may try to adjust the system compatibility to restore the operating status of the Win 7 system.

First, open the resource manager window of the system, open the running file of the target application, right-click the File, and execute the "attribute" command from the shortcut menu, expand the properties dialog box of the running file.

Click the "compatibility" tab to go to the tag settings page as shown in figure 4, and select the "run this program in compatibility mode" option, select "Windows XP (Service Pack3)" from the drop-down list of this option, and then press "OK" to save the settings. In this way, when we run the same application again, the Win 7 system will not be prone to false positives.

Force use of a separate process

The user opens several folders of Windows 7 system at the same time, and a folder causes the system to be suspended due to some reasons. In this case, other folders opened by the user or the system desktop will be affected. To prevent unexpected factors in a folder from affecting the entire system, we can force the Windows 7 system to use a separate process to open the folder, so that when a folder encounters a problem, in Windows 7, the system will automatically close the problematic folder window, without the system being suspended.

First, open the windows in Windows 7 system resource manager in the same way, and click the "organization> Folder and search options" command. The Folder option setting box is displayed, and click the "View" tab, select the "open folder window in a separate process" option on the corresponding tag page, and press the "OK" button, so that the Windows 7 system will use a separate process to open the folder in the future.

Automatically shut down the false dead Program

Some applications may experience false positives due to improper operations or other reasons, which may result in false positives in Windows 7. In the case of Win 7 false death caused by this reason, we only need to follow the steps below to modify the Registry of the system and force the system to automatically close the applications with false positives, in this way, the normal operating status of the Windows 7 system can be restored.

First, click the "Start> run" command, and then run the "regedit" command in the system running box. The registry editing window is displayed, and the HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop registry node is displayed.

Double-click the string key value "WaitToKillAppTimeout" under the target node. In the edit string dialog box shown in Figure 2, enter "10000" or a smaller number, click "OK" to save the settings, and then refresh the system registry. In this way, if Windows 7 finds that the application has not responded for 10 seconds or within the specified time, the application will be automatically closed, but it will not cause a false death in the Windows 7 system.

Close all programs with one click to solve the problem

1. Right-click the left blank area and create a shortcut.

2. After the creation, enter taskkill/F/FI "USERNAME eq admin"/FI "IMAGENAME ne assumer.exe"/FI "IMAGENAME ne dwm.exe" in the location column. Note that, admin is invalid if the user name on your computer is incorrect!

3. After the next step, we can rename the shortcut. Generally, enter some names that are easy to understand.

4. After the shortcut is created, right-click the shortcut on the desktop, and set the shortcut key for it. Be sure to avoid conflicts with common shortcut keys.

5. Now, all the steps are completed. Double-click the desktop shortcut or press the shortcut key you just set to kill all processes with one click.
