The existing font management tools are mostly obscure, bohemian coding originally redo the "fonts" also just modified the application of the design, and ultimately nothing. More and more stunning design class applications have emerged on OS X, and font management applications have stalled. I'm really looking forward to a lightweight, easy-to-use font management tool. Recently appeared a tool named "rightfont" finally can let a person in front of a light, feel finally someone to change a bit.
First of all, "rightfont" is a very lightweight application, open will see a very concise Font List window. Search for a preview of the fonts you have installed, such as searching for "open sans", which has been used more recently.
You can also filter fonts by font style, word weight, and three dimensions of the word width.
If you're trying to pick a font for a new design, the text preview feature will make it easier for you to preview and select Fonts.
Preview text settings are available in the upper-right corner of the setting.
The next step is to use a feature that changes the way fonts are used, and "rightfont" is associated with design class applications. If I want to change a new font for Pinapps, select "pinapps.in" this text in sketch, double-click the font selected in "rightfont", and the text in the design will be replaced with the font selected.
"rightfont" is designed to always be at the top of the window, so it looks much like a font window in the design software. There is no sense of Shong.
At present, "rightfont" has completed the integration with PhotoShop, Sketch two design applications, there will be increased support for AI and InDesign. But for me, being able to support sketch is all that's enough.
Font management and use has never been the intersection, management and use need to be done in two places, but for the designer this is actually one thing. This is not too much trouble to express, engaged in design-related students will understand. So write the east scold West, write West scold east of No mind and unhappy, this time will not bother you.
"rightfont" is still in Beta, and should also increase support for font grouping when it is officially released. It is not clear whether the charges will be charged yet, but you can download the beta version (which is fairly stable) to try it out and consider whether you need to pay for it in the future.
