Details:
In a VMware virtualized environment, Oracle does not certify any of its products. Oracle support will assist customers in running Oracle products in VMware in the following ways:
Oracle will only provide support for issues that occur on the native OS, or the issue has been demonstrated not to be caused by VMware.

If a problem is known, Oracle issue,oracle support will recommend an appropriate solution on the native OS. If the solution is not available in a VMware virtualized environment, customers need to contact VMware Technical support. Oracle resumes support for this issue when the customer demonstrates that Oracle's solution is not available on the native OS, including registering a bug with Oracle development to investigate the cause.

If a problem is identified as not an Oracle issue, we will advise the customer to contact VMware for support. Note: In a VMware virtualized environment, Oracle does not have any of its products certified. For Oracle RAC, Oracle only accepts service requests (SR) that conforms to the description of this document and that the Oracle RAC version is 11.2.0.2 or later
