Google and its Android partners want to thank users in North America for their explosive growth in smartphones that have configured the mobile operating system.
According to AdMob's April mobile indicator report released on Wednesday, 75% of Android users worldwide are in North America. Users in Western Europe account for 11%, while users in Asia account for 12%. In contrast, 49% of the users running Apple iPhone OS are in North America, 28% are in Western Europe, and 14% are in Asia.
According to the report in January April, although consumers' demand for Android has been increasing, the iPhone still holds a strong market share. In the United States, the proportion of iPhone users to Android users is 2 to 1, and the proportion in the world is 3.5 to 1.
