What is opensuse?
Opensuse is a Linux release that is easy to use. At the same time, projects and communities dedicated to developing and perfecting the operating system are also called opensuse.
What is the relationship between opensuse and SuSE Linux?
The original name of opensuse is SuSE Linux, and the name of SuSE Linux after Version 10.2 is opensuse.
What is the relationship between the opensuse project and Novell?
The opensuse project is sponsored by Novell. The opensuse operating system and related open-source programs will be used by Novell as the basis for Novell Enterprise Edition Linux (such as sles and sled.
What is the difference between opensuse and other Linux systems provided by Novell (such as SLED 10 )?
Opensuse can be downloaded and used for free. The opensuse Community provides upgrade services and software.
Novell improved and optimized opensuse to create and support stable Enterprise Linux, such as SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop/Server 10. Enterprise Linux is a product that provides free trial, but for long-term use, you need to purchase service support and upgrade from Novell.

How does one automatically install some additional software?
For CD installation, you need an add-on image, which can be downloaded in the non-OSS directory, including the founder font, Adobe Reader, Real Player, and other non-open source software. The Chinese environment must be installed. This step is not required for DVD installation.
1. Install with the system:
After you confirm the license agreement dialog box when installing the system, there are two installation options: new installation and update. There is also a box option-including additional products in individual media. Check the box, select Add-on CD, take CD1 as prompted, add-on, click Continue, and follow the prompts to install.
2. Add-on CD:
YaST-additional product-add-select CD or ISO image on hard disk as needed. If you select CD to insert add-on CD. Follow the prompts to select the part to be installed.
