SVN: SSL negotiation failed

After the svn repository is migrated to the new server, the svn operation encounters a problem:

SSL error code-1/1/336032856

SSL error: SSLv3 alert handshake failure

SVN Server:

Linux maya2.leadtek.com.cn 2.6.38.6-26. rc1.fc15. i686.pae #1 SMP mon May 9 20:36:50 UTC 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

SVN, version 1.6.17 (r1128011)
Compiled Jun 2 2011, 11:42:09

Run the svn command in the checkout command and switch to this directory.

SVN: Options of 'https: // xxxx/repos/XXX': SSL negotiation failed: SSL error code-1/1/336032856 (https: // XXXX)

But checkout is OK on a new fedora15.

SVN client:

SVN, version 1.6.16 (r00003529)
Compiled APR 4 2011, 17:46:33

Is it because of Version mismatch? It seems that the SVN version does not match.
