Swift formatted output

Source: Internet
Author: User

Outputs float a = 1.234567 with a decimal number of 2

in OC, you can use nslog Format Output

NSLog(@ "float:%.2f", a);

Output:

double:1.23

In Swift, the formatted initial method of string helps us to take advantage of the formatted string:

Let format = String (format:"%.2f", a)

Print("double:\ (format)")

Output:

double:1.23

If we need to use a lot of similar string formatting, we'd better write an extension for Double:

Extension Double {

func Format (f:string), String {

return String (format: "%\ (f) F", self)

}

}

This makes it easier to use string interpolation and print :

Let f = ". 2"

Print("Double:\ (B.format (f))")
