Switch Network Speed fault: the process from discovery to diagnosis is divided into the following three steps: switch network speed fault phenomenon, switch network speed fault diagnosis process, switch network speed fault troubleshooting experience. It helps you easily solve faults in your life.
Switch speed fault
After the company's LAN is upgraded from 10 Mbit/s to 10 Mbit/s. Our colleagues complained that too many sites were slower than before the network was upgraded. Some sites were disconnected and some were not connected at all. The original 10 Mbit/S Ethernet is very stable and has excellent performance.
After the upgrade, all the switches are replaced with the 10 Omb/s system, but the above-mentioned vswitch network speed failure occurs. However, the total number of users has not increased, and large software or kettle media applications have not been enabled. Reinstall the system software and application software, and reset the server and network. Virus Detection and restart of all connected devices are ineffective.
Vswitch network speed fault diagnosis process
Since the operating system has been re-installed and there is no virus interference, now we should check the nic and network cable. First, let's take a look at what network card is used. When we open the chassis, we find that all old-fashioned 1 Omb/s network cards are used, and the speed of 100 Mbit/S is not supported, so I replaced the old Nic with a 10/100 Mbit/S adaptive Nic, but the effect was not obvious.
So we checked the network cable again and found that the network cable was not created according to the standard practice of the five lines. So we re-created the five lines and updated the network card and network cable, the network speed is much faster than before, and the problem can be solved.
Experiences in troubleshooting vswitch network speed
We often ignore the network speed failure of such switches and think that since the switches have been upgraded, the speed should be greatly improved, however, I forgot the network devices to be upgraded along with the vswitch. Therefore, before upgrading, consider whether your Nic and network cable can reach the upgrade speed, only in this way can we maximize the potential after the upgrade.
