Uninstalling Agent for Linux

1 on the Linux server, insert the Backup Exec installation media into the appropriate device.

2 log in as root to the server from which you want to uninstall the Linux Agent.

3 Navigate to the following directory on the Backup Exec installation media:<linuxunixmac>

4 Start the Uninstallralus script.

For example:./uninstallralus

5 Perform one of the following actions:

Type the name, IP address, or fully qualified domain name of the Linux server.

Uninstalling the Linux Agent from one server

Type the name of the Linux server, the IP address, or the full

Qualify the domain name. Leave a space between each identifier.

Uninstalling the Linux Agent from multiple servers

6 Press Enter.

7 After you have successfully completed the Linux Agent package check, press ENTER.

8 When you are prompted to uninstall the Ralus software package, press Enter.

9 when you are prompted to uninstall the Symsnap driver, press Enter.

10 to save the uninstallation summary to the following location on the Linux server, press Enter:

/opt/vrts/install/logs/uninstallralus< Digest File Number >.summary
