System Configuration in vro Configuration

I believe many routing users have some knowledge about the router configuration. So I studied the System Configuration cases in the router configuration. I will share them with you here, hoping to help you. The configuration saved in NVRAM is called "STARTUP configuration ". If no boot router configuration is available for loading when a vro is started, i0S will automatically guide us to use the Installation tool.

I0S calls the Installation Tool System ConFIguration Dialog ). During this process, i0S will ask us a few questions to create a basic router configuration on the router. What we need to do is to press the answer to each question and press Enter. Note that each question requires an answer followed by a carriage return (Enter ). In the demonstration output, the entered key is not displayed after each answer. The system configuration dialog can be separated into four main stages.
1) Description.
2) Global parameters.
3) interface parameters.
4) summary.

Based on the information we have collected above, we will introduce the system configuration dialog between Dallas and FortWooth routers respectively. Only after you create a vro configuration on each vro through the Installation tool can our vro start to work normally.

Dallas settings

With reference to the structure, we first set the No. 1 router. We have named it Dallas. At the beginning, the "system configuration dialog" will certainly provide a large explanation, explain how to use it, and then raise a very important question, as shown in figure 7. This question is whether you want to enter the "initial configuration dialog ". In the initial vro configuration dialog, if you cannot determine the meaning of a problem, you can refer to the online help at any time (line 1 ). Just type one question? You can. On the other hand, if the system configuration dialog is started and you decide not to complete it, you can press <Ctrl + C> at any time to stop the man-machine dialog (line 1 ). If you exit the system configuration dialog on the new vro, The vro automatically closes all its interfaces and waits for further actions, such as restarting the system configuration dialog. If you accidentally make an incorrect answer, you cannot return it to the previous part of the conversation. There are two options:

1) restart the initial configuration dialog by re-powering the vro, and then entering the dialog again; or quit the dialog, and restart the dialog with the command in the privileged mode of setup.

2) complete the current initial vro configuration dialog, and then run the I0S configuration mode command to manually correct the error. For most questions, "system configuration dialog" provides a default answer. The default answer is shown in square brackets (5th rows ). If you see a pair of square brackets after a problem, you can press the Enter key to accept the default value. You can also press enter to set a different value. Press Enter at the end of all the answers. Otherwise, it cannot be accepted by the system.

If you want to answer "Yes" or "No" for a question, you can use the abbreviation: "Y" indicates Yes, and "N" indicates No. The answer can be either big or lowercase. The system configuration dialog will first ask if you want to continue. Of course, this is what we are trying to do now (6th rows ). Figure 8 shows the next problem and its output.
