In the face of more and more network technologies, wireless technology has emerged as an important force. For how to share wireless networks, most of us do not know how to do it. Here we will introduce it to you.

If you want to ensure that your friends can access your home wireless network safely, you must make sure that these friends are not unreliable strangers. This involves using passwords to protect your Wi-Fi network. Because I do not know your vro, I cannot tell you the correct method. You can view your router instruction manual.

A vro provides multiple encryption options. You should select the WPA2 encryption mode. This mode is relatively safe, unless someone uses an older laptop to access the Internet, there should be no compatibility issues. If not, your other best choice is WPA. Do not use WEP encryption mode unless necessary.

No matter which encryption mode you choose, you must set a high-strength password.

Of course, you have to share the password with your friends. You can save the password in a flash drive. You just need to insert the flash drive into your friend's computer, copy and paste the password. (Why not use Password Safe and other Password tools here? Because Mac and Linux laptops cannot run Windows software .)

Now your friends can access your home wireless network and enjoy the joy of the Internet. So how can you ensure that they will not access other computers on the network?

One simple way is to disable shared files on your computer:

If you are using XP, click Start, right-click my network neighbors, and select Properties ". Find "advanced" at the top of the list and click "Advanced Settings ". Deselect Microsoft network file and printer sharing ".

Vista users click Start, right-click my network neighbors, and select Properties ". Open the shared folder, close file sharing, and click "application ".

In Windows 7, click Start, select Manage advanced sharing settings from the advanced sharing options, and disable file and printer sharing.

If you want to share folders with family members rather than friends, you can control who can access them through the network:

Vista users click Start, right-click my network neighbors, and select Properties ". Open the shared file, close file sharing, and click "application ". Enable password protection sharing, Disable password protection sharing, and click "Apply ".

In Windows 7, click Start, find advanced sharing options, select Manage advanced sharing settings, and select Open file and printer sharing. Scroll down and select password protection sharing.

According to the official saying, there is no way to achieve this effect in XP. But there is a way to solve this problem. Please refer to the article "How to Protect Shared Folders" related to Binet ".

Finally, if a folder contains sensitive information, try not to share it. A better way is to store it in an encrypted vault and open it only when necessary. Here I recommend the free open-source Truecrypt. TrueCrypt is called the world's best encryption software. It is a free and open-source encryption software that supports Windows Vista/XP, Mac OS X, Linux, and other operating systems.
