Teach you how to use ALT and SHIFT keys in zbrush®

Zbrush® is a digital engraving and painting software that has revolutionized the entire three-dimensional carving industry with powerful features and intuitive workflow. In a concise interface, zbrush® provides the world's most advanced tools for contemporary digital artists. This tutorial introduces the use of the zbrush®alt key and the SHIFT key for faster and more efficient operation using the shortcut keys.

When carving with the engraving pen, select the Zadd (z-Add) command on the top tool shelf to expand the volume by carving, and the Zsub (z-Dent) command allows the engraving to sag down the volume.

1) zadd (z Add): When this option is turned on in a two-dimensional drawing, a 2.5D volume bulge is generated, but cannot be edited as a three-dimensional volume; opening this option when carving a three-dimensional model will result in volume expansion, as shown in (left).

2) zsub (z SAG) When you open this option in a two-dimensional drawing, you will create a 2.5D volumetric sag, but not as a three-dimensional volume editor; turning on this option when carving a three-dimensional model will result in a downward indentation of the volume, as shown in (medium).

3) zsub zcut (Z-scissors): Its effect and zsub (Z-SAG) are similar, but there are also obvious differences, first in the 3D object editing mode zcut (z-Scissors) button is not used, gray, when we use in 2.5D state, will produce a cut effect, as shown (right).

　　

You can also combine shortcut keys for fast switching operations. When you select the Zadd (z Add) command, press and hold the ALT key for the Sculpting brush transformation operation, the volume change of the shape will be depressed downward, and you cannot frequently switch Zadd (z-Add) and Zsub (Z-Dent) commands to the top of the tool shelf. You can also use the SHIFT key to toggle the engraving brush. If you select any engraving brush to operate, holding down the SHIFT key will automatically switch to the smooth (smooth) engraving brush in the default state.
