Teach you to use PhotoShop7.0 to make snow effect

1. Open a picture of the landscape taken in the snow in Photoshop as a background, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Create a new layer "Layer 1" and fill the layer with white.

3. Select "Layer 1" and click menu command "filter → pixel → dot shape", open the "Dot" dialog box, shown in Figure 2, with the selected cell size 3 (note: The larger the value, the larger the snowflake, depending on the size of the picture, the size of the scene to determine the size of the snowflake), and then click the "OK" button, The new layer is filled with colored dots.

4. Click image → adjust → threshold to open the Threshold dialog box shown in Figure 3, set the threshold level to 255, and then click the OK button, as shown in Figure 4.

5. Because of the trend of snowflakes falling, it will produce a dynamic effect, we can use "dynamic blur" to achieve this feature. Click filter → blur → motion blur, and in the "Motion blur" dialog box shown in Figure 5, set the angle of snowflakes falling to 60, and the distance is 8.

Note: The distance value must not be too large, the value is too large to rain, the effect of rain is this set.

6. In the Layers Control Panel, set the layer mode of layer 1 to "screen" (also known as "Color Filter"). English is screen, the operation of this mode is characterized by: any color and black for the operation of the screens to remain unchanged, and white operation result is white, any two color operation of the result is generally lighter than the primary color, then " Layer 1 "mixes the color with the background layer, and the operation forms the effect shown in Figure 6."

Snowflakes flying in the sky, is not very lifelike? If you add a few special effects words with ice and snow effect, it will be more beautiful.

The above design method is applicable to the scene of the snow scene. If the original image is not snow, want to make a more real effect of the sky snow How to do? You can do this in the following ways:

A. Change the above 2nd step to: In the Layers palette, drag the background layer onto the Copy button to copy a new layer, which is automatically named "Background copy", and the layer is renamed "Layer 1."

B. Remove the step 4th setting threshold.

C. Add a step before step 6th: Click menu command "image → adjust → go color", remove the color from "Layer 1" and turn it to grayscale effect.

D. After step 6th, if the white component in the sensory image is too strong, you can invoke the menu command "image → adjust → brightness/contrast" to reduce the brightness for layer 1.

E. The image shown in Figure 7 is processed by this method as shown in Figure 8, which shows how the image becomes snowy.
