Team fundation Server Installation Process

Installation environment:
CPU: 1.86 GB
Memory: 1 GB
Hard Disk: 60 GB

Operating System:
Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition)

SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition (English official version) + SP1
VS 2005 team edition (English official version)

Because my original system is about to expire in the 180-day trial version, and SQL2000 and sql2005 are installed, SQL2000 uses the default instance, So I simply reinstalled the system. The installation was successful! Read the Installation Wizard carefully before installation.

Server:
1. Install SQL Server 2005. Note that the installation must be a default instance, and all services must be installed to make the service and running status.
2. Install Share Point Server 2.0. Note the following during installation: Select server farm (server farm). No setup is required after installation.
3. Create two Windows users. The user name is casual and belongs to the administrators. It must be used during installation.
4. Install patchesProgramIn the directory of sqlserverkb and kb913393 (Framework 2.0) in the TFS installation disk, if sql2005sp1 is installed, only the latter can be installed. The sqlserverkb directory contains three files. You can select an installation package based on your needs, which supports 64-bit installation.
5. Install team fundation Server
(1) select single-server installation (single-server mode );
(2) Check the system status of the installation program (you can have a cup of tea for a while, a little slow), and check the sql2005 service... if necessary, there will be a report at the end of the detection. (My detection report indicates that the CPU configuration is too low, but it only warns you to continue the installation. I installed it on my laptop, and the CPU is 1.86 GB! It requires 2.2 GB and 1 GB memory)
(3) the user name and password are prompted twice. Two accounts are required to run the service, and the two users created earlier are OK.
(4) next is the mail prompt settings, which can be ignored!
(5) It is officially installed. You can continue drinking tea!
(6) The Server installation is OK.
6. You can install the relevant msdn.

Single-server is applicable to small and medium-sized teams. As the user increases, the memory needs to be expanded accordingly. A single server supports up to 20 users with 1 GB memory and 50 users with 2 GB memory.
Dual-server is applicable to large teams, where databases are installed on another server.

After the installation is complete, the memory will be occupied by more than 500 mb on the host, so the memory must be sufficient.

Client:

1. First, install Excel 2003, project professional 2003, and VS 2005.
2. Install team explorer.
3. installation is complete.
