One, Description
Team Foundation Server (TFS) provides source code control, work item tracking, teams Foundation build, group project portal, reporting, and project management capabilities. TFS also includes a data warehouse that stores data from work item tracking, source control, version, and test tools.
The deployment pattern for TFS is divided into two types, one for single-server deployments and one for dual-server deployments, and this article focuses on the installation of a single-server model and does not cover the details and other areas of a dual-server deployment. And only as a supplement to Microsoft's information, not too much detail.
The latest version of the installation manual can be downloaded from the URL below:

Second, Pre-Installation Preparation
1 Hardware requirements: See the hardware requirements in the Microsoft Manual. But from a performance perspective, if your team is larger than 10 people, it's best to suggest 1GB or more.
2 Operating System requirements: must be Windows Server 2003 SP1 (SP2) Enterprise Edition or Windows Server 2003 SP1 (SP2) Standard Edition, there is no room for negotiation.
3 Create the user you must have to install TFS. These users are installation users, service users, and report users, and you can use Microsoft's recommended name, such as Tfssetup, tfsservice, tfsreports. In general, Tfssetup must be added to the Administrators group, and the Microsoft Manual does not recommend that the Tfsservice, tfsreports be added to the Administrators group because of possible security risks. But if your team is not very big, this will be all right.
4. Net Framework 2.0 must be installed.
5 IIS 6.0 must be installed.
6 You must install SQL Server 2005 and SP1 (SP2), and it is noteworthy that TFS does not support the SQL Server Express Edition. TFS requires the installation of reporting Service, analysis service, and as for integration service, it is not necessary. Note that SQL Server 2005-related services are set to start automatically before installation, and must be in a started state, or cause subsequent installations to fail, so you'll have to start over again.

8) summarize the order of installation, and must follow the order is: windows2003-> windows2003sp2 patch-> IIS6.0->. Net framework2.0->sql Server QL SERVER SP2 patch->. Net framework2.0 Patch.
Third, Windows SharePoint Service2.0 installation
1 WSS2.0 must be installed with SP2, download the address of Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 with Service Pack 2 as Http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?li nkid=55087. The file name after download is stsv2.exe.
2 in the Microsoft Manual, the WSS installation prompts you to install WSS for users who install TFS, and you can still use the administrator to install it in order to be lazy, and there is not really much difference.
3 Note that in the installation prompts, you must select "Server farm" instead of "typical installation." After the WSS is installed, you should see the SharePoint Central Administration site in IIS, and if you do not see it, you are having problems with your installation. Microsoft's Test input http://servername, if "build" on the page also means that the installation is successful, in fact, this does not represent anything, if in the installation in IIS did not see the SharePoint Central Administration site, subsequent installation error.
4 Install to this, OK, you can start to install Team Foundation server.
