Landsat 8 Land Resource SatelliteYuThe successful launch in February 11, 2013, recently published a blog about the use of landsatlook viewer Landsat 8 image data download (http://blog.csdn.net/arcgis_all/article/details/9136493), today we will talk about the various satellite band combination, lay the foundation for specific applications. We all know that compared with the previous Landsat series satellites, landsat8 has added some new bands, such as the coastal blue wave segments (coastal
Blue band) for water penetration rate/aerosol detection; cirrus cloud band for Cloud removal and other applications. The following are common Band combinations during Landsat 8 application. The image is displayed in RGB format:

In general, we are familiar with most Landsat 8 bands, but have made minor adjustments in some spatial spectral ranges. In addition to Band 1 coastal and band 9 cirrus, compared with Landsat 7, Landsat 8 splits the thermal infrared band into two, in Landsat 7, the spatial resolution of the thermal infrared band is 60 m (30 m after sampling), and the spatial resolution of Landsat 8 corresponding to the two bands is reduced to 100, but the spectral information is refined. This method of enhancing spectral information at the cost of spatial resolution also reflects conservation in the field of remote sensing.
These are commonly used Band combinations in Landsat 8. In practical applications, select an appropriate combination for image analysis. With the real-time processing and analysis capabilities of ArcGIS image platform, we hope that you can get satisfactory processing results in the ideal time.
