As a gateway product of Microsoft, UAG is committed to providing internal resource release and internal access to external users. Among the many publishing methods, we will introduce a RemoteApp release today.
RemoteApp is a concept in Windows 2008. When a terminal user runs RemoteApp, the actual resource consumption is on the remote host (RDS). Due to restrictions, the client can only access specific applications on the remote host.ProgramInstead of the entire Remote Desktop, it is also conducive to management and security.
After UAG is installed, it will integrate the role of installing a Remote Desktop gateway manager. Due to the installation of this role, UAG can publish the RemoteApp to clients on the Internet.
Next let's take a look at how to install and configure these roles.
First, we need to find an internal server as the Remote Desktop Session host (RDS) server.
On the RDS Server:
1. Install the following two roles:
2. In the remote app manager, we can add the RemoteApp. Here, we add the calculator program ):
3. Select the added RemoteApp and export its settings:
Put the exported configuration file on the UAG server.
On UAG:
1. Create an application release and select RemoteApp
2. Import the configuration file according to the wizard and fill in the full name of the internal RDS Server:
3. On the UAG server, go to the RD gateway Manager Console, click the SSL certificate page, and then import certificate:
Note that the certificate name should be the same as the public name of trunk.
4. Activate the configuration and wait for synchronization.
Finally, find an external client and log on to the UAG portal. You will find that the RemoteApp has been released by UAG. Click it to run the calculator program from the internal RDS:
Of course, in addition to publishing specific remoteapps, UAG can also publish internal remote desktops. If you are interested, try to publish these two applications:
After the release, can you remotely log on to an intranet machine on the Internet?
