When using Windows, you may sometimes encounter a login system, displaying the original user name, but the system is using a temp user, Documents and settings will generate a temp, machine name temporary folder, desktop icon is just show all User, and all the settings of this temp user will be lost after the login, must be reset, but sometimes access to the original users, but also sometimes found that each login to the system to recreate the desktop icon, and can not display the original desktop settings, The document that was on the desktop before the reboot was saved and disappeared after the reboot.

Here, I'll share some of the solutions in the previous process:

Method One: Use Registry to fix

This method is tested for the Windows 7 operating system as well, but if you are using a Windows XP system you will need to reboot to a different system administrator account

1, first open the C disk, C:\Documents and Settings, open the User Configuration folder, find the user "desktop", "Favorites" and "My Documents" to back up their data.

2, back up the registry file

3, then open the "Start"/"Run" input "regedit" point to determine, open the registry to find this key value: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Nt\currentversion\ ProfileList "

Registry Name State One (folder name modified): Under this file, to see if there is a folder with the same name, if any, carefully look at the key value "ProfileImagePath" content, find the boot specified path the correct one, will be incorrectly deleted, There is a. bak appended to the failed file name at the time of processing, modifying the name correctly and restarting the computer.

Registry Name State Two (the key value has been tampered with): View "ProfileImagePath" content, will be the deletion of the error, if not, the correct path to modify it; If you have a ProfileImagePath file with the same name, you will normally modify the correct name to Bak, The error will be deleted, and then the correct changes back to the machine can be restarted.

4, restart if the normal boot, delete%systemdrive%\users\username below the Temp account configuration file can be.

Method Two: Replication system boot Configuration

This method is tested only for Windows XP operating system

1, first, back up the C disk data.

2, a new system administrator user users to restart the computer, log on to the system with user users, open My Computer properties-Advanced-User profile settings-select "Asiainfo\nt account"-"Copy to"-"change"-"location" (if the local user chooses the computer name, If the domain user chooses the domain)-enter the name of the object you want to select (for example, Administrator or Asiainfo\nt account)-"Browse" (select the directory of the previous username)-"OK" to reboot the computer.
